An on-chain proposal to give the DAO control of the attacker loans and collateral passed. This was only noticed by a small number of community members who were in favor of the proposal. They did not raise the alarm and alert the community at large so as to not tip off the attacker. This has removed a large governance threat to the protocol wherein the attacker could propose harmful changes to the protocol.
However, these changes should be discussed by the community at large, and this process could be reversed pending a successful vote.
